CNN host Kasie Hunt asked Rep. Jasmine Crockett if calling the other side “Hitler” and “fascists” may have contributed to the culture that got Charlie Kirk killed, and her answer was even worse than you think. Not only did she double down, but she also chose to blame the Right, coming up with any excuse in the book to try to deflect blame.

There are so many things wrong with that video, it’s hard to know where to even start.

Firstly, she claimed that her Hitler rhetoric had nothing to do with Charlie Kirk’s assassination, insisting instead that people just “aren’t educated in history” and that Trump was going after historical information. But the worst thing she said was that the Trump administration is demanding Americans do whatever they want—without providing a shred of evidence to back it up.

In the same breath, she had the audacity to claim this administration is attacking personal freedoms, while failing to look in the mirror. Yet, in that very interview, she also insisted the government must police speech she believes is “leading to actual deaths,” displaying a level of self-awareness so lacking it’s almost unbelievable.

It’s almost comical that she claims criticism comes her way simply because she “knows history,” insisting she shouldn’t be challenged since she’s supposedly stopping Hitler from targeting the American people. What makes this astonishing is not only that she’s inventing such nonsense, but that she then casts herself as the hero, without offering a shred of evidence that she’s ever done anything beneficial for the American people. In doing so, she proves there is no low she won’t stoop to to polish her image, all while making herself look more pathetic than she could ever imagine.

Her lies don’t even add up. She claimed Trump said we must euthanize homeless people, yet after searching the entire internet, I couldn’t find a single clip of him ever saying that. Surely, if it were true, it would be everywhere. She also claimed that 1,500 people beat up law enforcement before destroying the Capitol—but if that were true, why isn’t there any proof?

Don’t you just love how she had to close by slandering ICE, accusing them of violence simply for enforcing federal immigration laws? You truly can’t make that level of absurdity up, and it’s baffling that she can keep a straight face while spouting such nonsense on television.

All of this served as her excuse for why it’s supposedly okay to call half the country fascist, while simultaneously victim-blaming millions by insisting that criticizing her rhetoric is the real problem. In doing so, she has proven that she will double down on her lies, no matter the consequences.
