I’m 25 and my portfolio has grown to just over $400k. A couple of years ago, I was starting out with around $30k total, so seeing numbers like this feels completely unreal.
Instead of feeling like I’ve “made it,” I actually feel kind of stuck. Part of me thinks I should take a big chunk off the table and lock in some stability. Another part of me wonders if I’d regret it if the market keeps climbing and I step out too early.
I’ve read stories of people making life-changing gains and then losing it all because they didn’t have a plan. That’s what I’m trying to avoid.
For anyone who’s been through something similar — how did you approach it? Did you diversify into real-world assets like property or businesses, stay mostly invested, or a mix of both?
I’d really appreciate any perspective. It’s exciting but also overwhelming, and I’d rather learn from people who’ve already navigated this stage.
