Solana Seeker Phone Security

[ad_1]

Does anyone find it odd that the wallet app on Solana Seeker can reveal the seed phrase after generation?

I guess I assumed it would be like a ledger device where after the seed phrase has been recorded once, it can no longer be accessed on the devices screen.

Doesn’t this defeat the purpose of the seed vault in the first place?

I also noticed that to connect to Jupiter Mobile, it seems to imply you would have to import your wallet seed phrase into the app wallet similarly to how a regular hot wallet works when trying to add it to another wallet app (like metamask / phantom).

My understanding was that a traditional hardware wallet could sign transactions within its secure element without importing a seed phrase into a wallet app itself.

Am I missing something?
