Sony Pictures has acquired the film rights to the bestselling fantasy novel series The Chronicles of Elderwyn, beating out competing bids from Netflix and Amazon. The studio plans to develop a cinematic universe spanning multiple films and TV series. The first film adaptation is scheduled for a 2027 release with a budget exceeding 50 million.
