Aster’s token launch on September 17 surged hundreds of percent in just hours (nothing surprising as new token can have a very high volatility), but what really fueled the hype was a tweet from former Binance CEO CZ, who wrote: “Well done! Good start. Keep building!”
It doesn't happen often to see CZ supporting another project in public besides BNB but this was enough to spark speculation that Aster could be positioned as a direct challenger to Hyperliquid, the current leader in decentralized perpetuals trading.
MetaMask has announced a new integration with Hyperliquid, allowing users to trade perpetuals directly through their wallets without leaving the MetaMask interface.
Both projects are interesting to watch.
